Version Française

Emmanuelle Tardif

Native French Speaker

From art and culture editor to teacher and translator – as varied as my professional background is, it is linked by one common thread: the French language.

Over time, I have specialized in the translation of art books and literature.

I mainly translate from Dutch, a language I know well since I grew up close to the Flemish border in Northern France and have been living in the Netherlands since 1997. I also translate non-literary texts from English into French.

I translate emerging and established authors of Dutch-language literature. These works are mostly novels as well as essays and texts for the stage.

Art Books and Magazines

art books

I regularly translate artist or exhibition catalogues. I have contributed to the French version of Belgian magazine Collect - Art Antiques Auctions for several years.

You can trust Version Française if you need your French documents to be proof-read or edited. They will get all the care they need.

Some translations may require more time and knowledge than others, depending on how specialised the original document is. That can have an effect on the translation rates, as can a short deadline. Rates are calculated according to the number of words in the source document, the complexity of the translation and the agreed deadline.

Do not hesitate to get in touch using the link below and ask for a free quote. If possible, please send also a sample of your document, specifying its total number of words and when you would like the translation to be delivered.
